The Triological Society Education Committee has been actively developing and implementing a broad spectrum of educational initiatives designed to engage otolaryngologists at every stage of their professional journey. Our goal is to deliver high-value, accessible content that supports ongoing learning and elevates excellence across the specialty.

January 2026In the coming months, we will introduce dynamic new social media features, including “Laryngoscope Fast Facts,” a social media series that highlights recently published articles from The Laryngoscope. These concise segments will offer direct insights from the authors themselves, presenting key findings in an easily digestible format and providing quick access to the full publication.
We are also preparing to launch an innovative podcast series, “The Legend and the Learner,” which pairs mentees with their mentors for in-depth conversations. These interviews will offer a rare window into the experiences, wisdom, and stories of some of the most influential leaders in our field. The premiere installment will debut as a live fireside chat at the upcoming Combined Sections Meeting in Orlando, featuring the distinguished pediatric otolaryngologist, Robin T. Cotton, MD, in conversation with his mentees, Dana Thompson, MD, and Alessandro de Alarcon, MD.
Over the past year, we have produced three webinars—now available for on-demand viewing on the TRIO website—covering topics ranging from leadership strategies to navigating the professional continuum from residency through retirement. Additional webinars are forthcoming and will address subjects such as legal risk mitigation, operational efficiency, and emerging physician “side hustle” opportunities.
This is a particularly energizing moment to be part of the Triological Society. Together, we represent some of the most accomplished minds in otolaryngology, and our collective expertise is a powerful resource. By expanding and enhancing our educational offerings, we aim to leverage that strength for one overarching mission: improving patient care.
I would like to take this opportunity to thank the TRIO Society Education Committee. Each member was chosen for their expertise, experience, and devotion to otolaryngology education
