ENTtoday Wins 2024 APEX Award

ENTtoday has won an APEX Award of Excellence for writing on the health and medical topic for its Medical Device Misuse vs. Off-label Practice, written by Jennifer Fink for the October 2023 issue.

“We are so fortunate at ENTtoday to have an engaged editorial board providing timely and important topics for our community and a tremendous team of medical writers who bring these topics to life to inform our community,” said Robin Lindsay, MD, ENTtoday’s physician editor. Dr. Lindsay is an attending physician at Massachusetts Eye and Ear in Boston and on faculty at Harvard Medical School.

The 36th-annual Awards for Publication Excellence (APEX) recognizes excellence in publishing by professional communicators. APEX Awards are based on graphic design, editorial content, and overall communication excellence. APEX Grand Awards honor outstanding works in 13 major categories and the APEX Awards of Excellence recognize exceptional entries in 100 subcategories.

There were more than 1,100 entries with 100 Grand Awards and 439 Awards of Excellence. ENTtoday was one of 19 magazines to receive the Award of Excellence in writing on the health and medical topic.

Michael E. Hoffer, MD, FACS, president of the Triological Society said, “The Triological Society is very thankful and proud of all the individuals who work hard to make ENTtoday a visionary publication providing unique insights into topics that are critical in modern medicine. Ms. Finks’ article “Medical Device Misuse vs. Off-label Practice” is an example of the publication’s coverage of compelling and important emerging issues.
